Update 6 March 2011 Scroll down for "comments" and my explanations and replies to the comments. We can and we must end global warming now, and we can at near zero cost. This site shows how. In the late 1980s I originated the concept, and did the calculations that showed that we could eliminate global warming by significantly enhancing the fertility of our agricultural soils. I am an agriculturist and meteorologist. The calculations are correct and so very easy to demonstrate. I promoted the concept in lectures and papers in the US and here in Australia. As a result it is now finally becoming accepted worldwide. Enhancing the fertility of our agricultural soils can eliminate climate change. It requires a general switch to a high production organic type agriculture. Buy that is so easy to do. For the agrochemical industries to survive and continue to prosper, all this must not become general knowledge. THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE ARE BRAIN WASHED INTO GIVING UP. LET NOT ALL OF US BE QUITTERS. SOIL CARBON SEQUESTERATION ( removes the existing excess CO2. And that's the most urgent) CONVERT COAL POWER PLANTS TO NUCLEAR ( halts any CO2 coming from power generation. Allow 15 years) HARVEST THE TROPICAL RAIN FORESTS AND GROW SUGARCANE ETHANOL (halts CO2 coming from transport. Allow 12 months) do these three things and we win A a bit more than fifteen years ago, oil, coal and gas and the agrochemical industries recognized that their products were causing the Earth's biosphere to dangerously overheat. They all kept quite about it, and did nothing about it, except proclaim that it wasn't happening. That's when they lost their innocence and their morals. That's when they willingly adopted and embraced the philosophies and marketing techniques of the cigarette companies by saying ." protect the rain forests" and "nuclear energy is dangerous" and "save the rivers from hydroelectricity". You and I, we just can't let them win. So talk to people, tell them they too should be concerned. It's word of mouth. We don't have the oil billions to buy media space and buy politicians. It's a people power initiative . Or this crazy weather continuously gets worse and more distractive. ( Send me your thoughts. Here in Australia we just got over the worst drought in Australian recorded history. This was then followed by the worst flooding, again in all Australia’s recorded history. So suppress the bad news. The oil public relations machinery wants to create a belief in the community that an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels the atmosphere is almost insignificant compared to the atmosphere’s water vapor content. So we should not worry about CO2 produced from our use of petrol and diesel. That’s a scam. Is the global warming the world is now experiencing just part of the 100,000 years cycle of glacial and interglacial periods? This was a question I was asked at the Allexperts web site. The answer is, “It ain’t.” The money the oil industry has and uses to manipulate us on how we see think of global warming issues is enormous. They plan to stay in business. For them, it’s just so damn profitable. Here are the money numbers. We all want to know just what is the environmental problem with the Murray and Darling Rivers? I don’t see one, and neither does anybody I know that lives on the land anywhere in NSW, Queensland or Victoria. It’s all a giant fiction. What is the reason that the self styled environmentalists say is so important that an agricultural land area as big Germany, France and Italy combined, needs to be regulated to “protect” these predominantly tiny, by world standards, water courses? So in line with these thoughts, last year I sent the following letter to the head of General Motors Australia. I already knew they were developing a new engine and if it was configured the way I am suggesting it could have started a trend to the final elimination of the petroleum fueled automobile. I also sent him a copy of my book. It’s urgent that we fix our world’s global warming and climate change mess. First we remove from the air the excess CO2 that’s causing it. Here’s how. They’re called the “Lower Lakes”. They don’t call them evaporation ponds but they are. The city of Adelaide uses the river for its main water but the lakes evaporate five times the water that the city itself requires and uses. Look closely and what the Green movement supports and think about who actually benefits. We have yet to see a Green initiative that does not directly or indirectly support the petroleum industries. Biofuels are a big threat to oil. So the Green say don’t clear land, and also they argue that biofuels mean people will starve. Greens love electric cars but not nuclear energy. Things changed in the 1950s when my father P.A Yeomans and I brought out the Yeomans Chisel plough and our Keyline system ideas took off. Academics read too much into what is happening in other countries and presume its happening here. They’re wrong. Overseas the use of agrochemicals are promoted by the State and by their agricultural authorities much more so than here. My comments to this article in Queensland Country Life, August 9 2010. Organic farmers and biodynamic farmers have been increasing the humus content of their soils to amazing levels and in amazingly short times for donkeys’ years.
